Some of you may have been wondering what the "Calling all Ladies" posting was all about. Well wonder no more as I'm officially announcing the formation of an all new, all real, all super muscular Female Super Hero Team!
The girls are assembled as well as a couple guys and we're working on rolling out our first adventure, but first we need your help. We need a name! Please post your ideas here and I'll make a poll with the best names so everyone can vote. We'll make the final decision though!

How about the Meg's "Mega Muscle Madiens" or "Super Mega Sisters" or "Mega Muscle Sisters" for a starter.
ReplyDeleteI would think the Super Group would be based around the heros. What are your hero names...is the growth power? Super Strength? Super Sexy? Are any of you a shade on the bad side? Please more info.
ReplyDeleteAll females (and megamuscular) suggests that the name might have something to do with gender and power: perhaps 'The Iron Belles' or 'The Iron Maidens' (it had to be said- feel free to snort and turn up your noses...)
ReplyDeleteOf course, an all female superhero team is a concept that's been around for awhile- see FEM-Force if you have trouble with that (and the accompanying SuperBabes role playing game- good times, good times...)
The name might also focus on their purpose, a la 'Heroes For Hire'- maybe something like 'Friday's Girls' (for a PI group) or 'The Shock Troupe' (for a military or SWAT-style law enforcement group).
Finally, I submit that the name doesn't necessarily have to immediately point to any of your abilities or characters- imagine a group names something like 'Hardcore' because they're all punk rockers and bodybuilders, or 'Bloody Sunday' because they're all Irish...
Just a few ideas until the muse decides to visit me with something better...

Is the first adventure going to be just written and then be built as you find an illustrator. I can't wait to see it. Also is it going to posted on here or is it going to have it's own link away from this blog.

P.S. Lots of cool ideas coming for names on here but I think it would be great if you ladies who are in the superheroine team come up with some names also and throw them out here. Besides the name will define who you are.
Josh, we're coming up with names and will poll them too. I haven't done anything with finding an artist. Any volunteers?
ReplyDeleteI swear to God that I was thinking about what to call a league of muscular female superheroes just a few hours ago on my way home from work! OK, so I think about it every day, but I still say it's spooky.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like what Rodman has already come up with, but how about "The Super Awesome Female Electric Muscle Action Team" or S.A.F.E.M.A.T. for short!

Wow, more great suggestions here! I particularly like Meg's own suggestion of "The Buffies" - it reminds me a bit of the show "The Goodies" that I used to watch when I was a kid. If it's OK I thought I'd come back and suggest another couple.

As a variation on Rodman's ideas, what about "The Mighty Muscular Meg-azons".

I used to have a yahoo group that fits this. How about "The Iron Amazons".
ReplyDeleteBy the way "Iron Belles" is the title of a website. It has been in operation since 1995. You might put some thought into that one before you use it.
